We use hundreds of thousands of liters of water each year to produce bottles of the classic version, and although we have reduced this drastically with the concentrated version, there are always ways to do better for the environment and take another step forward! In accordance with the Project Green program, Muc-Off is always looking for innovative solutions to reduce the use of plastic, water and the Carbon footprint.
This is why they decided to offer Muc-Off Bike Cleaner, their flagship product, a completely new shape and a reusable aluminum bottle! The challenge was to take the technologies of liquid Bike Cleaner and transform them into high-tech powder using a very different chemical process requiring tons of innovation.
The brief was to create a product that was 100% plastic and water free, using plant-based ingredients to minimize petrochemical processes.
From the vegetable inks used for printing to the biodegradable packaging, the powder and a recycled aluminum bottle, each element of the development has been defined to guarantee its sustainability.
