Famed as the Eighth Wonder of the World, The Amber Room was presented to Peter the Great by the King of Prussia. The fragrance is smoky, warm and glowing; the heady amber, as seductive as its inspiration, is lit with Italian bergamot, sensual Turkish rose and warmed through with spices, cinnamon and cedar wood. Scent: Top Notes: Bergamot, Floridian grapefruit, ginger, Indian cardamom, baie rose Heart Notes: Bulgarian rose, patchouli, cinnamon Base Notes: Amber, sandalwood, olibanum, vetivert, tonka absolute The story: Glowing at the heart of Catherine Palace near St. Petersburg, the Amber Room was lined entirely with amber panels backed with gold leaf and mirrors. When lit with more than five hundred candles it was reputed to glow like trapped sunshine and fiery gold. Created by melting together amber, Cognac and honey, its history and brilliance has inspired the creation of this fragrance.
